About the Brisbane Chapter
The Patriots Australia Brisbane Chapter Inc. is part of Patriots Australia, a national military motorcycle club for serving and former members of the Australian, Commonwealth and Allied Defence Forces.
As a consequence of the service of the original members, the Chapter has a uniquely Naval flavour. The Chapter is actively involved with the Naval Association of Australia, the Queensland Maritime Museum and visiting warships program. This naval tone allows members to pay tribute their Naval service, language, history and bonds, with the intention to continue the bearing, uniformity, discipline and esprit de corps associated with the Naval service; whilst enjoying the camaraderie of the greater defence and bike communities.
The Patriots Australia Brisbane Chapter Inc is an honourable military motor cycle club. Our brotherhood is strong and our love of the open road is unrelenting.
The Chapter is a not-for-profit fraternal organization, formed to provide a fraternal organization for qualified military veterans who have served, or are currently serving, in the Armed Forces of Australia or Allied Nations.
The membership of the organization is comprised entirely of active duty, reserve, and veterans who have served HONOURABLY. The Chapter was established to provide a strong sense of pride and mutual support for members who have served their country. The Chapter aims to also promote a positive image of military Veterans as well as motorcyclists..
Genesis of the Chapter
On 10th July 2011 at the Ipswich Flood Relief Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson ride a number of existing Patriots, Military Brotherhood and ex-Naval serving members formed a ‘common blob’ in the car park and starting sharing common service experiences.
This chance meeting and common beliefs, language, passions and service formed the idea for a new Chapter.
Where are we?
The Patriots Australia Brisbane Chapter is structured to draw like-minded riders together; the epicentre of our current membership is greater Brisbane area; and our nominal home is the Queensland Maritime Museum, Brisbane and Naval Association Rooms at Ogg Rd Murrumba Downs.
Brisbane members can be regularly found at the Pine Rivers Sub Section Naval Association Rooms on Friday Nights 1700 -1900 , Patriots Australia Moreton Bay Chapter Club Rooms in Redcliffe on Friday Nights 1900 - late or Patriots Australia Queensland Chapter Club Rooms on a Sunday afternoon after 1400.
Focus
Brisbane Chapter Meetings are held contemporaneously with rides or events to minimise impact on personal time and maximise the time we have together riding.
We actively pursue opportunities to engage with other Chapters and pay tribute to our service and recognise the sacrifices that others gave so that we could now do what we do.
We believe our duty and our opportunity to support our fellow Veterans did not end with our military service. So through our actions, our community involvement, and our dedication to this cause, we hope to perpetuate the feeling of pride and belonging among our members.
